Merge copies pages from several PDFs into one file, in the order you choose. Pages are not redrawn or recompressed: they are copied as-is with a browser library (WebAssembly), so print quality and selectable text stay as they were. We do not stamp our own watermark on the result.

How merge actually works in this editor

The tool opens a panel in the editor. Add two or more PDFs — the Merge button stays disabled until there are at least two. Reorder the list with the up/down arrows (not drag-and-drop), then confirm. Each file is loaded into this device’s memory; its pages are copied into a new document and downloaded. Nothing is sent to our servers.

Practical limits (not marketing copy)

PDFs only. Convert Word or images first, then merge.
No coded cap on file count; the cap is browser memory. Dozens of small office PDFs are usually fine on a laptop. Dozens of hundred-page scans can stall a phone or fail.
A password-protected file will not merge until it is unlocked — use Unlock PDF, then try again.
Mixed page sizes (A4 next to Letter) are kept as-is; we do not auto-normalize paper size.

What merge does not do

It does not pull pages out of a single file — that is Split PDF.
It does not reorder pages inside one file — Organize pages.
It does not shrink the result. If the combined file misses an email or portal limit, run Compress PDF afterwards.

Merge-specific questions

Do bookmarks and fillable forms survive?

Pages are copied as-is. Document-level bookmarks and complex AcroForms may not carry over completely — open the result before you send it as a fillable contract.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. We do not rasterize pages or recompress them as part of merge.

The file is corrupt or will not open after merging

Try Repair PDF on the source first. If the browser cannot load a file at all, it is often encrypted or structurally damaged.

Are my files uploaded?

No — merge runs entirely on your device.
