About techyworks
Run by Amin Mahmoud since 2026 — browser-first PDF tools, with a clear split between local processing and the few uploads we delete after use.
techyworks is a free toolkit for PDF editing and job applications. It is run by one named operator: Amin Mahmoud, since 2026. Not an anonymous SaaS brand and not a scraped template mill.
Who operates this site
I am Amin Mahmoud. I build the tools and review the ATS and resume guides myself. You can find me on LinkedIn — not only a consumer mailbox.
To reach me: the contact form, email techyworks.online@outlook.com, or LinkedIn above.
How we process files
Most PDF tools run in your browser: the file never leaves your device. A few tools upload temporarily, then delete the file after the response. This table is the source of truth — not a blanket “everything is local” slogan.
| Tool | Where it runs |
|---|---|
| Merge, split, compress, edit, sign, and most PDF tools | In the browser. No upload. |
| ATS checker | Temporary upload for analysis (5 MB cap, about 10 checks/minute per IP), then immediate delete. |
| Resume builder and cover letters | Text is sent to render a PDF on the server, then discarded. Optional Modify with AI (when enabled) sends resume text to Google Gemini; nothing is applied until you click Apply. |
| PDF ↔ Excel | Uploaded for conversion, then deleted. |
| HTML to PDF | Upload or paste (~2 MB). Headless Chrome prints it, then the temp file is deleted. External scripts are stripped to reduce SSRF risk. |
| Dark Mode PDF | Prefers the server (PyMuPDF) up to 100 MB, then deletes; falls back to in-browser blend layers if upload fails. |
