Scan to PDF — Free Document Scanner, No App

Use your phone camera to scan paper straight into a PDF. Multi-page, cleaned up automatically, and no app to install.

Turn your phone into a document scanner with no app to install. Open the page, allow camera access, capture your pages one by one — and get a single PDF. The frames are captured and the file is built inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded to a server.

Who uses the scanner

  • Scanning a paper contract, invoice, or receipt to email it.
  • Handing in an assignment or a form that must be a PDF, with no scanner nearby.
  • Digitising old paperwork or handwritten notes.
  • Capturing a card or certificate and sending it as a proper file instead of a photo.

Scan in 4 steps

  • 1. Open the editor, choose the "Scan to PDF" card, and allow camera access.
  • 2. Fill the frame with the page and capture it. Repeat for each page.
  • 3. Reorder, rotate, or delete any page you don't want.
  • 4. Hit "Create PDF" — the file opens straight in the editor.

What happens after the scan

Because scanning opens the file inside the editor, you can keep working immediately: run OCR — in English or Arabic — to make the document searchable and editable, redact sensitive details before sending it, or add a signature, then download.

Tips for a cleaner scan

  • Put the page on a flat surface that contrasts with the paper.
  • Use even light and avoid casting your own shadow across the page.
  • Shoot straight down and fill the frame with the page.
  • Leave "Clean up" on so the result reads like a scan rather than a photo.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install an app?

No — it runs directly in your phone's browser.

Why won't the camera start?

Browsers require a secure (https) connection and explicit camera permission. If you dismissed the prompt before, re-enable camera access for this site in your browser settings and try again.

Can I scan several pages into one file?

Yes — capture as many pages as you like; they're combined into a single PDF in the order you set.

Does it auto-crop the page edges?

Not yet — the full frame is captured with contrast clean-up applied. To cut away background, use the "Crop & resize" tool after scanning.

Are my photos uploaded?

No — the images and the PDF stay in your browser; nothing leaves your device.
