Why a link beats an attachment

An attachment is a black box — you don't know if it downloaded, if the format broke, or if it even reached the right inbox. A share link opens instantly in any browser, shows a live preview of the document before anyone downloads it, and can double as a small contact card with your photo, job title, email, and phone — so a recruiter knows exactly who sent it and how to reach back.

Step 1 — Build or upload your CV

Start from the Resume Builder to create an ATS-friendly CV from scratch, or open an existing PDF in the editor to tidy it up. Either way, download the finished file as you normally would — this part stays exactly the same, and still runs entirely in your browser.

Step 2 — Sign in (it only unlocks one thing)

Sharing a link is the one feature on techyworks that needs an account — everything else stays sign-up-free. It's deliberately small: creating one takes an email, a name, and a password, and its only purpose is to let you save documents and generate links for them. Register or sign in from any page using the icons in the top navigation.

Step 3 — Save your file in My Documents

Open My Documents and add the CV you just downloaded. You can keep up to three files saved at a time; saving a fourth automatically removes the oldest one, so there's nothing to manage manually. Give it a clear name — like "Amin — Product Designer CV" — so you can tell your files apart later.

Step 4 — Add a photo and contact details (optional)

While saving, you can attach a small contact card to the file: a photo, your job headline, an email, and a phone number. None of it is required — leave it blank and the share page simply shows your account name instead — but filling it in turns a bare PDF link into something that reads like a proper introduction the moment it opens.

Step 5 — Copy the link and send it anywhere

Every saved file gets its own permanent link. Copy it with one click and paste it into an email, a LinkedIn message, or a job application form instead of attaching the file. The link keeps working until you delete the document, and you're always in control — remove it from My Documents at any time and the link stops working immediately.

What the company sees

Whoever opens the link lands on a clean page with your photo and details at the top, a live inline preview of the whole PDF underneath, and a Download button — no account or sign-in required on their end. It works the same whether they open it on a laptop or a phone.

A quick note on privacy

Every other tool on techyworks processes your file entirely on your own device and uploads nothing. Sharing is the one deliberate exception: to generate a link, the PDF (and any contact details you add) has to be stored so the link has something to point to. Nothing is saved unless you choose to save it, and deleting a document from My Documents removes the file and disables its link for good.
