Free Professional CV & Résumé Templates You Can Edit Online

July 13, 2026 · 3 min read

A great résumé opens doors — but building one from a blank page is slow, and most "free" template sites hide the good designs behind a paywall or make you hand over your email. On techyworks.online we just added a growing library of ready-to-use templates you can open, edit, and download right in your browser — completely free, with nothing to install and no sign-up.

The collection covers three everyday documents — CVs / résumés, cover letters, and invoices — and we've just expanded the CV category to eight professional designs. Here's what's available and how to make one your own in a couple of minutes.

Eight professional CV & résumé templates

Whatever field you're in, there's a layout that fits. Every design is a clean, recruiter-friendly, single-page A4 résumé:

  • Modern: a bold coloured sidebar for your contact details, skills, and languages beside a spacious main column.
  • Professional: a classic single-column layout with a soft header band — simple and ATS-friendly, so applicant-tracking systems read it cleanly.
  • Minimal: elegant serif typography and generous whitespace that lets your experience speak for itself.
  • Executive: a dark serif header with gold accents, tuned for senior and leadership roles.
  • Corporate: a two-column layout with a navy header and a tidy sidebar for skills and contact info.
  • Creative: a bold monogram badge and colourful headings for design, marketing, and portfolio-driven roles.
  • Technical: a developer-focused sidebar with skill-level bars, a projects section, and your tech stack.
  • Elegant: a centred serif masthead with fine gold hairlines for a refined, formal look.

Cover letters and invoices too

A strong application is more than a résumé. The gallery also includes matching cover letter templates — modern, classic, and minimal — so your letter looks like it belongs with your CV. And if you freelance or run a small business, three invoice templates let you bill a client with a clear, itemised document you can send the same day.

Why these templates are different: everything is editable text

Most template downloads hand you a flat image or a locked PDF you can't actually change. Ours are the opposite. Every placeholder — "Your Name", "Job Title", "Company Name", each bullet point — is real, editable text. Open a template in our editor, click any line, and simply type over it. The font, size, and styling stay in place, so the design keeps looking polished while the words become yours.

Step-by-step: make a template your own

  • Step 1 — Open the gallery: Head to the Templates page on techyworks.online and browse the CV, cover letter, and invoice categories.
  • Step 2 — Pick a design: Click the template you like. It opens straight in the editor with the Edit Text tool already switched on.
  • Step 3 — Click and type: Select any placeholder and replace it with your own details — name, title, experience, skills, and so on.
  • Step 4 — Adjust as needed: Add or remove lines, tweak the wording, and review each section until it reads the way you want.
  • Step 5 — Download: Click download to save a print-ready PDF. That's it — no watermark, no account, no fee.

Private and free, start to finish

Like every tool on techyworks.online, the templates run entirely in your browser. Your details are typed directly into the PDF on your own device — nothing is uploaded to a server, so the personal information on your CV or the client details on your invoice never leave your computer. There's no cost, no sign-up, and no watermark on the finished file.
